'R for Rainbow' - A signed, limited edition silkscreen print by Sir Peter Blake.
'R for Rainbow' is from Blake's 1991 series of alphabet letters. Here Blake replays one of his most enduring images from the 60s: Babe Rainbow. Originally created in 1968 Babe was one of a host of fictional wrestlers that Blake created in a fantasy world of his favourite sport. Blake's wrestlers are a continuation of the vein of escapist entertainment celebrated in his pictures that reflect popular leissure activities.
