Originally part of the old Isleworth Film Studios, the Worton Hall building is now home to Coriander Studio, The Curwen Studio and Huguenot Editions. Our studio offers artists and publishers full access to a variety of printmaking techniques, our experienced master printers and their studio assistants hand–produce every project. Collaborating with artists new to the medium as well as accomplished printmakers. Services available include Silkscreen, Digital Inkjet Printing, Lithographic and Etching.
We take commissions from artists, publishers and museums. The studio has facilities for silkscreen (which can be used in combination with lithography or etching) digital and 3D printmaking, working with our in-house partners Curwen and Huguenot.
We tailor our approach to the individual needs of each project and work collaboratively with the artist or from a brief. Our printmakers and technicians support artists in exploring their work at every stage of the print process from digital manipulation, creation of stencils, proofing and editioning to hand finishing. We produce work as limited edition and unique prints as well as boxed portfolio collections. We are staffed with a hard-working team dedicated to the craft of exceptional print production.
THE CURWEN STUDIO (Est. 1958)
The Curwen Studio is a printmaker and publisher of fine art lithographic prints. Originally founded in 1958 as a subsidiary of the Curwen Press, which itself was founded in 1863 by The Reverend John Curwen as a means of producing hymn sheets for his congregation.
Due to the emergence of artists’ original prints as publications in their own right The Curwen Studio was set up in 1958 under the management of renowned printmaker Stanley Jones MBE.
There followed a period when artists including Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Graham Sutherland, Elisabeth Frink and John Piper produced many important lithographs at the Studio.
In 2014 The Curwen Studio found a new London home at Worton Hall Studios. We continue to work with leading contemporary artists, publishers and museums from around the world.
HUGUENOT EDITIONS (Est. 2006)
Huguenot Editions is an original print studio specialising in etching. It was established in 2006 by artist Simon Lawson in Wandsworth and relocated to Worton Hall Studios in 2015.
Huguenot Editions offers the opportunity for artists to make original prints using the techniques traditionally associated with the production of etchings along with all the contemporary aspects of digital image production that are now available. Huguenot Editions has produced and published works by artists including Bob and Roberta Smith, Rachel Howard, Danny Rolph, Ivor Abrahams, Derek Boshier and June Redfern.
