Contemporary British artist and renowned musician Maxim (b. 1967, Cambridgeshire) is one of the most recognisable figures in electronic music, as a leading member of UK music group The Prodigy. Turning his attention to painting in 2002, the artist (also known as MM) has always endeavoured to keep his artwork separate from his music in order for it to be accepted in its own right. Over the past nearly two decades, in between touring periods and working on new records, Maxim has been able to develop a successful career as a visual artist, holding solo shows in both London and LA.
Since 2012 he has supported various charities and donated artwork to raise money for research into Breast Cancer, BT ArtBox for ChildLine, and Chain of Hope (cardiac care for children around the world).
