" I want my paintings to remain spatially indulgent and delicious, uncompromising and open to those who believe in the power of visual discovery"
Danny Rolph is recognised worldwide for his multi-layered, abstract, colour focused paintings. He is a frequent traveller across the globe, between London, New York, Rome, Mauritius, and the deserts of West Texas and New Mexico whose sunsets appear as a recurring motif in the background of his work. His colour choices are instinctive and deliberate, often echoing the environment around him. Rolph continually questions surface tension and spatial relations via the mediums of Triplewall plastic and canvas surfaces, embracing joy, doubt and discovery within his creative processes.
