'Teardrop' - A signed, limited edition 24-colour silkscreen print by British artist Storm Thorgerson, published by CCA Galleries and printed at Coriander Studio.This print was created especially to raise awareness and funds for the British Heart Foundation. All profits go to the BHF.
Adapted from his iconic album cover The Dark Side of the Moon, Thorgerson
harnesses the scientific imagery of light passing through a prism and softens
it by replacing the hard-edged prism with a teardrop. The fluid forms of the
rainbow colours that emanate from the teardrop are joyous and hopeful compared
to the monochromatic scheme on the opposite side of the composition, suggesting
that we must suffer before we can rejoice.
