'W for Wrestler' is from Blake's 1991 series of alphabet letters. It depicts the British wrestler Peter Thornley who performed as Kendo Nagasaki, legendary Japanese samurai warrior. Blake has always been a fan of wrestling; loving the theatricality, the over-the-top stage names and the boyhood fantasies of super-heroes and super-villains.
