'Paris- Circus I' features an engraving of Wombells Circus that Blake has had in his collection for many years, and here provides the perfect background for an open air Parisian circus spectacular. The circus takes place in front of the now demolished Palais du Trocadéro (built for the Exposition of 1878 and now demolished).
