'A for Alphabet' - A signed, limited edition silkscreen print by Sir Peter Blake.

'A for Alphabet' by Sir Peter Blake is from his 1991 series of letters depicting his pop art inspirations. In this the first of the letters series Blake depicts the whole alphabet using a nursery rhyme. This choice reveals his enduring fascination with childhood nostalgia (which is key to all of his work), as well as his interest in Victorian/Edwardian graphic illustration. In short A is for Alphabet summarizes many of Blake's most central influences: his love of fairytales and childhood stories, his interest in animal illustrations, and his use of antique graphics.
