'Loose Spinnaker' - A signed limited edition 36 colour silkscreen print by Donald Hamilton Fraser RA.
The viewer is at such close quarters to the action that the composition has an abstract quality. If it weren't for the heads of sailors hovering above the guard rail, the composition would be entirely composed of a riot of block colours and angular shapes. Fraser effectively conveys the speed of the yacht's motion by extending its body beyonf the picture frame, evoking a sensation that it is merely passing through the canvas.
